Glad you asked! The logo actually made of the initials HKD, for Hawaiian Kine Design.
(Look at it sideways, and you will see the letters.)

Upright, I turned them to make a Hawaiian petroglyph. It represents strong personal mana (spiritual power)

For the example, you'll see that it looks like a man with a fish hook, and the circles above tell that the petroglyph is someone who is very powerful and well-respected in his/her community. It made to remind people of the demi-god Maui who fished out the Hawaiian islands from the bottom of the sea with a magic hook, made from the jaw bone of one of his ancestors. (Important note!- the petroglyph doesn't represent the demi-god Maui directly, just the mana (spiritual power) that someone like Maui possesses.)

that's a pretty nice logo idea, and the way that you explain it's amazing, it looks like a chinesse character too :d i love it.., and i really respect all things about yours ancestors, i saw a documentary of Maui, mana, power, and things like that its so great..!! love it.., hope to visit one day hawaii and feel all the power.

a friend of me, get marriage with a nice hawaiian girl, i met her last year, now they live 6months there and 6months here..., i will ask them if i can join them for a while.., but for now i will fly to portugal in august., hehehhee, to enjoy the green smerald coldwater, hehhee.,

heheehee, i went last year, with my apnea wetsuit its a 5mm (for warm water) and i thaught the water was not so cold.., but I was surprised about it..., now i have to get a full thickness wetsuit and fly with 2boards, and equipment :D
